Vegas Stakes lets gamers try their luck at five different casino games: Blackjack, Slots, Roulette, Craps, and Seven-Card Stud Poker. More than just an ordinary gambling simulation, Vegas Stakes challenges you to earn ten million dollars through shrewd wagering. You'll also have to deal with people looking to sell you items or trying to pickpocket your cash. The game begins in the hotel lobby of the Golden Paradise Hotel and Casino. From there, you'll be able to register your name and call on one of your friends to give you advice, rules of the game(s), and odds. This friend will accompany you throughout the game and offer his or her information whenever you press the Select button.  Since you start with $1000, you'll want to ease into the game with smaller bets until you have enough cash to visit another casino. Speaking of which, the five included casinos offer different minimum wagers, from the cheap $1 bets at the Hideaway to $1000 bets at the luxurious Laurel Palace. Yet before you can walk into Laurel Palace, you'll have to first be invited. Only high-rollers need apply! Vegas Stakes supports up to four players for each game except Seven-Card Stud Poker, since the cards cannot be hidden from view. The game also includes battery backup to save four games at once, so you don't have to worry about losing your hard-earned cash once the console is turned off.
