Have you ever been watching the game show Jeopardy! on television and popped up from the couch, shouting out the question to the answer at the top of your lungs, only to have your cat run into the other room and your wife threaten divorce? Now you can release your quizzical frustrations (and perhaps save your marriage) with Jeopardy! Deluxe Edition featuring Alex Trebek for the Super NES. Featuring more than 3,500 new questions in over 700 categories, this game puts you in the studio as a contestant and potential winner of thousands of dollars.  You can play this game by yourself or let one or two friends join in. When playing solo or with two players, you can elect to have the computer fill the role of the other contestant(s). Just like in the television show, three contestants compete by buzzing in quickly to answer trivia questions about things as diverse as art, literature, sports, fine china, architecture, dogs, royalty and other esoteric and not-so-esoteric subjects. A digital image of Alex Trebek, host of the popular television series, is on hand to lend his voice to the proceedings.  The Jeopardy! gameboard consists of six vertical rows of squares, each square containing a dollar amount, each row given a specific subject. Theoretically, the higher the dollar amount, the tougher the question. For example: Greek History for $500 could indeed be a toughie. If you are the first to buzz in or it is already your turn, you spell out your answer (which is stated as a question) by using your control pad to scroll over and select icons from a letter/number board. One of the 30 squares contains a Daily Double. The player who lucks out by uncovering this square gets to earn extra bucks by placing a wager.  After the first round of play, it is time for Double Jeopardy!, which is the same as Jeopardy! except that the categories will change and the dollar values on the board will double. Finally, after completing round two, it is time for Final Jeopardy! In this round, players wager on a single question. Only players showing a positive dollar amount will be allowed to compete in Final Jeopardy!  The player with the highest overall earnings at the end of the final round will be crowned "The New Jeopardy! Champion."
